What's been new with Dylan?

Daddy bought Dylan an All-Star Sports Slide for the backyard. We have had such beautiful weather here that Aaron and I decided to get something fun for Dylan to play with outside and he LOVES it! He dunks the basketball, throws the football (a future Dan Marino maybe?!), kicks the soccer ball of course, and climbs up and down the slide over and over! Here are a few pictures of Dylan in action...

A couple of weeks ago our local elementary school was having a Carnival so we decided to check it out. It was so neat; there were families everywhere and different activities for children of all ages. Dylan's favorite was the petting zoo area. He got feed the baby goat and thought he was so special!
My mom bought Dylan a sprinkler toy for the hose. Dylan was a little unsure of it at first and after he got over the shock of the cold water, he and Victor loved it. Dylan's favorite thing to do was kick his soccer ball into the sprinkler and make Victor go get it...too funny!

DYLAN'S FIRST ICE CREAM CONE EVER!!! Yummy!!!

Mr. Romantic

Who knew that I was blessed with such a romantic husband?! I knew he was wonderful in many ways, but romance was not always his strong suit. Well let me be the first to say how wrong I was. A couple of weeks ago Aaron called my mom and arranged for her to come and watch Dylan so that he could take me on a little getaway, just the two of us. Of course my mom was able and willing, meanwhile telling me she had to come to Atlanta on business. Aaron acted surprised when I told him my mom was coming in town and said "great, maybe she can watch Dylan so we can go out to a nice dinner Saturday night." I was excited and couldn't wait (we don't get out much)! Earlier in the week my aunt called and said that she and Victor (my cousin) were also coming in town for the weekend. Dylan LOVES Victor and Victor LOVES Dylan. They are precious together.

Aaron told me that I need to pack an overnight bag because he had a special surprise for me after his soccer game on Saturday. I didn't have the best reaction, I told him that with Terri and Victor in town, I really didn't want to go anywhere. He was a little disappointed and I felt terrible, so I obliged. I really didn't know what exactly he had planned. He told me that we were going to his soccer game and from there we were going to Chateau Elan, a beautiful resort and vineyard! How exciting! I have not seen Aaron play in a soccer game since I was pregnant with Dylan. It was great, his team won and off we were. He then informed me of all the planning he had done in order to make it all possible and I was so proud. When we got to the resort, we had a light lunch at Paddy's Irish Pub and walked over to the vineyard, where we took a wine tour and tasting. The only negative part of our getaway was the wine...it was terrible! (I am not a wine expert, but not one person on our tour enjoyed the wine so we weren't the only ones.) We didn't let that stop us though, we walked back to the inn and had a great time listening to the jazz band before getting ready for a wonderful dinner at Cafe Elan. The next morning Aaron had arranged spa treatments for us before heading home. The perfect ending to a much needed, romantic getaway! Thank you honey, you ARE romantic and don't ever let me tell you otherwise!!!
