Random Summer Pictures

Here are a few random pictures of Dylan taken over the past couple of weeks.

Dylan enjoying the pool with Daddy

Baby on a mission in the kiddie pool.

Enjoying a beautiful day in the park!

After Dylan put Victor's shoe's on he attempted to golf in them.

How sweet are they?!!!
The love between these two is precious!

Dylan attempting to do a perfect push up!
This was so funny, Aaron was teaching Victor how to do a push up and Dylan starting copying him...too funny!!!

Dylan giving his Daddy a little extra workout!

Our little cutie enjoying his snack at the pool!

The sweetest, most lovable, helpful boy in the world, Victor, who also happens to be Dylan's FAVORITE person in the world!!!

The Kujawskis' visit Atlanta!

We had the best time with my best friend, Jill and her husband Bobby and their sweet little boy Collin. The boys were so cute together. Collin followed and observed Dylan all weekend...it was precious! Dylan was so excited all weekend to see that he had a house full of people to play with. Jill and I even got a much needed girls night out which was great. I can't wait until the next time we get together!

Can you say sweaty?!!!

I love cute, funny faces!

He Loves Me!

Yes, it's true, my son LOVES me! Aaron recently got a new office away from home (he has been working from the house since we moved, but with a rambunctious toddler it wasn't easy getting any work done) and all of a sudden I have become Dylan's favorite person! Yes, it took 18 months and Aaron leaving for 8 hours a day in order for this to occur, but I am not complaining; I am eating it up! I no longer have to ask Dylan for a kiss, he just comes up to me and lays one on me. When Aaron comes home he does get excited and greets him lovingly, but then it's back to me! I just thought I would share that my son FINALLY realizes that I should have been his favorite all along...just kidding honey, I love you!!!

Upcoming Chaos!

We will definitely be busy for the next month or so. My mother-in-law is coming in town tomorrow with Aaron's Aunt Patti for an upcoming wedding in Savannah. They're flying here and then driving down for the wedding. Afterwards she is going to be spending some time with us and especially Dylan. I have missed her very much since we moved and am looking forward to her spending some time with us.

Then my cutie cousin Victor (10) is coming (Monday) to spend some time with us for the summer. He is flying solo and coming for a few weeks! Victor is one of Dylan's favorite people in the whole world! Every time I tell Dylan that Victor is coming he starts clapping and yelling! It is so cute! Victor is very excited and so are we!

Then on Friday (June 20) my best friend, Jill, her husband, Bobby and her son, Collin (15 months) are coming! I am so excited, I haven't seen Jill since Dylan was 7 months old, almost a year! I can't to see how the boys interact!

I am then going to try and visit my mom in NC so that she can spend a little time with Victor and Dylan before we go to Miami for 3 weeks! Victor is going to drive down with us which will be a BIG help since we haven't had a big road trip with Dylan yet. We are staying at the beach for 2 weeks with all of Aaron's family and then we will be in our old house for the last week of our vacation!

I am so excited about all of the upcoming guests and vacations but am tired already and it hasn't even started yet! I'll try and post pictures along the way.

Dylan’s 18 months old!

Dylan just went to the doctors on Monday for his 18 month check up. I was so excited…this was our first visit with NO shots! He is doing fantastic…33 ¾ inches long (80%) and 25 lbs 11 oz (50%). Still tall and thin! He has been up to a lot lately! He is really starting to talk a lot more, which is adorable. He is climbs everything from chairs to stairs. He is definitely an active little munchkin! Below are some of Dylan’s favorites.

Dylan showing off his pearly whites!

Activities: throwing a football (seriously, I have never seen a baby throw a ball like him, it’s a little freaky!) dribble the soccer ball (he has been doing this for a couple of months now, but the little guy is getting faster by the day!), go golfing with Daddy (he thinks Daddy is the coolest person in the world), and coloring (with a pen only…don’t ask me why, if you give him a crayon he will use it for a second and then ask for a pen, strange I know).

Our little Marino

Like father, like son!

Books: Polar Bear, Polar Bear what do you hear? and I will Never, not Ever eat a Tomato

Foods: salmon, green peas, croutons, watermelon and birthday cake ice cream from Brusters

Place: the park and just being outside. (As long as Dylan is awake he is begging to go outside!)

Sliding at our church's little playground

TV show: Go, Diego, Go! (all he has to do is hear the theme music and he starts yelling, “Diego” repeatedly) I totally don’t mind him watching Dora the Explorer or Go, Diego, Go because I feel like I get away with teaching him Spanish without really having to teach him, lazy, huh?!
I know, I know, I will practice teaching him more I promise.

Miscellaneous favorites:
playing with buckles (any buckle from his high chair to his stroller the kid is obsessed with buckles, don't ask me why or how we are still trying to figure him out!) and brushing his teeth (he asks for his teeth to be brushed every morning and night after his bath...I think he just likes the taste of the toothpaste (strawberry-banana, gross I know!)).

May in review

Let me start off by saying I have been a little lazy in the blogging department this last month. I feel as if we have been going nonstop. Here is a recap of what we were up to in May.

On May 9th we celebrated our dear family friend, Dana’s, 60th birthday. We had 10 family members come in town for the celebration and everyone stayed with us! It was great! I even got a much needed girls night out of it which was fantastic! (I didn't take my camera so I will try and get some pics soon and post.)

Aaron and I took Dylan to Zoo Atlanta with a couple of our friends, Justin & Kristen and he LOVED it. He copied the monkeys, go figure, and loved the big petting zoo. Compared to the zoo in Miami, Atlanta’s zoo was very small, but just perfect for a toddler!

Dylan up close and personal with a billy goat!

After all of our company left, I was starting to feel like I was getting sick, and boy was I right…I got a terrible cold, which lasted almost two weeks! Aaron was a big help with Dylan while I tried to recuperate. Meanwhile, my brother, Joey, was graduating from Columbia University and I wasn’t going to miss it for anything. I flew to NYC, solo, sick and all, and saw my big bro receive his masters degree (he likes to be called “Master Joe,” but it’s not happening)! CONGRATULATIONS JOEY, I am so very proud of you! Aaron did a fantastic job taking care of Dylan all by himself, even though while I was gone Dylan starting feeling sick as well. I took him to the doctor when I returned and he had bronchitis. There is nothing more pitiful than when your baby is sick and you feel a little responsible for making him feel that way! Don’t worry, he was feeling better in just a couple of days, strong little guy.

Joey and his proud little sis

Aaron and I wrapped up the month by hosting a BBQ with a couple of friends and their sweet little girl for Memorial Day. We had a great time! My parents came on the Sunday before Memorial Day and got to stay with us for a week! My mom had business in Atlanta during the week so Billy came along and helped me out with Dylan. Dylan sure does love his Grammy, Papaw & Ruff (Sebastian, my parents’ little dog)! During my mom’s business meetings she got offered a job here in Atlanta. We are so excited! I would love if my parents could move here! We find out more of the details this week so I will keep everyone posted!
