Kyle's 1 month check up

Our little angel is doing great. Kyle is weighing 8 lbs, 12 ounces (25%) and measuring 21 3/4 (50%) inches long! We have been dealing with gas and reflux issues, but other than that we have a beautiful, healthy baby boy! We are so extremely blessed by the love we feel for our boys! Here are a few pictures my brother took of Kyle during his visit...Enjoy!

Quick Update

We are in the middle of a chaotic move! We recently returned from Miami where we had a fabulous time and Dylan got extremely spoiled, and are frantically trying to get ready for the movers on Thursday. It doesn't help that I have been sick with a terrible cold since we got back, but I am slowly feeling better. I went to the doctor for my check up last week and little baby boy is doing great! He is moving around like crazy and even kicked the doctor as he was checking his heartbeat...too cute. We think we have his name picked out and I will share as soon as Aaron confirms that yes, it's the name (he tends to change his mind often).
Big news with Dylan...he is officially potty trained! No more accidents and has done such a GREAT job, we are so proud of our little guy! Another big accomplishment is no more pacifier! One day after the potty training was down pat, Aaron and I looked at each other and said tonight is the night and viola gone, with little complaining. The funny thing is every once in a while he will ask for it and we just say "no, sorry honey, but we gave them away." Dylan will then look at me and say, "OK, mommy, can we go store?" He is too funny! When we go to the grocery store and we go through the baby aisle Dylan says, "Look, mommy, paci dere get one peeze!" His speech and vocabulary is amazing! He cracks Aaron and I up constantly! Dylan's next big step will be the big boy bed! I am really nervous about this next venture, but I know he will do great!

I will post pictures of the new house soon! As well as pictures of Dylan from over the holidays!

The Ultimate Blog Slacker!

Yes, I admit it, I am the ultimate blog slacker, but for good reason! Here's an update on what has been going on with each of us as well as random pictures from the past month...

Aaron and Elena...
We found out we are being blessed with another baby BOY! We are so very excited and I am so happy that Dylan will have a little friend forever! Now the baby name search begins! I had my girl name set in stone, but the boy name is a little more complicated. I thought I had the name down, but Aaron isn't 100%, so we will see!

Other exciting news...we closed on our house!!! We are so excited!!! We have decided to move in after the holidays as to cause the least amount of stress possible!

We are busy preparing for the holidays. We have family coming in this weekend and staying until Tuesday and then more family coming in on Christmas day. After Christmas we are going to Miami to see the rest of our families and spend New Years there. When we return we have one week to move! Crazy!!!

Dylan at the Christmas tree farm searching for the perfect tree! He absolutely loved tree hunting!

Dylan...

A lot has been going on with our little one! He turned two on the 24th!!! It seems like the day he woke up on his birthday he started talking (in complete sentences) and has not stopped ever since! He cracks Aaron and I up constantly and just love hearing what may come out of his mouth next! His latest 2 year check up stats are as follows...weight 27.7 lbs (50%) and height 36 inches (80%)...tall and thin! The doctor came in and said "Hi Dylan, how are you today?" Dylan replied "I good dotor, doe shot peeze" (I'm good doctor, no shot please...it was too funny) She laughed and said there is definitely no problem with his vocabulary. He showed off all of his skills and mommy was very proud. He still loves to eat a variety of food and has become extremely more active if that is at all possible!

My sweet little munchkin!

Tower of doughnuts for his 2nd birthday cake! Dylan LOVES doughnuts!

"Mommy, are you sure, chocolate and sprinkles?! I LOVE my birthday!!!"

Big news with Dylan...we have started potty training and so far so good. He has one or two accidents a day, but overall he is doing great! Next comes the big bed, a new house and bye-bye paci (he still uses one to go to bed at night)! Poor baby a lot of changes in a short amount of time before the baby comes. The doctor said it was important for us make whatever changes by February, because he may resent the baby (example, why is my little brother sleeping in my bed?!) Yeah, that may cause a problem, so we are testing out the new bed when we move into the new house we will see how it goes although I wish I could keep him in the crib forever!

WE DID IT!!!

We finally bought a house!!! I still can't believe it! After 6 months of really searching, many offers not accepted, and many tears shed with frustration and anxiety...we did it! We put in an offer and the same day they accepted, no counter-offer, no surprises, nothing...amazing! We close in the middle of December. Now comes a whole new set of stresses...moving right before Christmas, packing while preggers and chasing a 2 year old, and trying my hardest not to kill my husband! Aaron is the type of guy who likes to do everything himself, including moving! He says he will recruit a couple of guys from the team and have them come help and move all of the furniture...lets just say this scares the heck out of me. Yes, my husband is strong and more than capable of lifting heavy furniture, but moving with care...not so much! Yesterday was our first disagreement about the house...I want movers and he doesn't. Guess what...I won!!! The only stipulation is that I have to organize everything and instruct the movers. He wants nothing to do with it...not too bad of a compromise since that is exactly what I wanted. Oh, isn't marriage grand?! Just kidding honey, thank you and I love you! I will keep everyone up to date on the house as we go along! (My camera is still in the shop so pictures will come soon!)

Random updates

Sorry I have been such a slacker in the blogging department, but I've been pretty busy. Aaron and I got the pleasure of taking care of my 3 year old nephew, Jack, for 11 days while his parents went to London with the New Orleans Saints (JP, Jack's dad, works for the Saints). Dylan was in absolute heaven having a constant playmate! They were so very cute together. Everything one did the other just followed along! Grandma Linda and aunt Kristen came to visit Jack and Dylan for the weekend and we had a great time! I'm so excited...Kristen bought her wedding dress while she was here! She looked breathtaking, and of course I cried! (Just a side note...I picked out the dress!!!)

The morning after Jack left Aaron went on his annual golf trip with his friends. I think Dylan really wanted to torture me because he woke up with a terrible cold the morning Aaron left and was up all night, every night he was gone! Let's just say being pregnant and taking care of a 3 year old and 2 year old for 11 days and then taking care of a sick 2 year old alone for 5 days after is quite exhausting!!! Of course the day Aaron returned Dylan felt much better and decided it was time to sleep through the night again! Aaron decided that it was only fair to give me a much needed break and on Friday I went and got a manicure and pedicure (one of my favorite things to do) and went shopping ALONE (which I haven't done in a very long time and is another one of my favorite things to do)! I bought plenty of maternity clothes for the season and shopped until I got home and literally dropped! I took a nap, which is something I never get the chance to do and woke up to a loving husband and baby! What a great day...THANKS HONEY!!!

What's new with Dylan? Well Dylan is almost 2! I can't believe it, in a couple of weeks my little angel will be 2 whole years old...let's just say, I'm in denial! He is cuter and sweeter than ever! He is talking up a storm. His favorite sayings are "What are you doing?, where are you going?, What's that?, Okay, mommy, and last but certainly not least WHY?" I think he is a little young for this but oh my word, every time he asks a question and you give him what you think is a very clear answer he comes back with "Why?" every once in a while he will say "oh or okay,' but most of the time it's "why?" He is still a great eater, he loves meatballs, chicken, peas, carrots (with ranch to dip) he loves dipping things, corn on the cob, and applesauce (which he insists on feeding to himself!) Everything is now "I do it." His favorite thing to do is kick the ball with daddy. Aaron said the other day, "I never thought I could actually play pass with Dylan at 2, but this great." I definitely think Dylan is following after his daddy's footsteps! Dylan was a skeleton for Halloween and was so stinking adorable! I will post pictures soon (my camera is in the shop getting fixed so it might be a little while). We didn't go trick-or-treating, we just gave out candy and he thought it was great. There was a little boy dressed as Diego and Dylan kept yelling "Diego, Diego" as if Diego really came to his house...too funny!

As for me, I am still recovering from a very busy month, but overall feel good. We find out whether we are having a boy or a girl on the 4th which is so exciting. We wanted to find out before Thanksgiving, but they wanted to wait until 20 weeks, sorry fam! My cravings with this pregnancy are soup (any kind), blueberry bagels, and salad. Not too bad considering with Dylan my cravings included a visit to Dunkin doughnuts and Burger King (gross I know)! I think we are having a girl and Aaron thinks it's a boy...we will see!

Sorry for such a long post, I promise the next one with consist of mostly pictures and less catch-up! We miss everyone very much and can't wait for Thanksgiving! We are renting a 31 foot RV and traveling to Florida with Kristen and Adam! It should be lots of fun!

99 Balloons

After wiping the tears from my eyes after yesterday's Oprah, I decided that for those who did not get the opportunity to watch it must see this story of a father and mothers love for their miracle baby...
